There is so much to see and do that you can never get bored of London on a motorhome holiday – some of the things you can see and do in London are – The Changing of the Guard, The Tower of London, The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, museums, shops, exhibitions, restaurants, bars Covent Garden, St Katherine’s Dock, Tower Bridge and Greenwich to name just a fraction of the many things you can visit in London.
Events that take place out of season in London include: The Ideal Home Exhibition (March) the Caravan Show (October/November) and the Christmas (Nov/Dec).
Two of my personal favourite places to visit in London are:
1) The Natural History Museum – I always remember visiting the natural history museum as a kid and fell in love with the place as it has so much charm, there is so much to see and do with many interactive exhibits. The dinosaur exhibition must be one of the best in the world and exhibits the bones of a full size Tyrannosaurus Rex. There are also ancient Creepy-Crawlies that are well preserved from around the planet that are guaranteed to have you screaming with horror!
2) The National Gallery – This is a great home for some of the worlds most prized and famous paintings, Leonardo Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Gainsborough, Turner, Renoir and Van Gogh are just some of the world famous painters that have works here, this is a calm and tranquil place right in the heart of London.
You can visit the Official London Tourist Board Website for more ideas or visit our London motorhome hire page for a great quote and get your bags packed for the UK’s capital, I truly believe there is no other place in the world that is as fascinating as London, and you are only here once!
