The French manufacturer Chausson has made some improvements to it's range of budget, mid-market and high end motorhomes for 2012 and there is a lot to look forward to from this clever manufacturer.
What’s new to the Chausson Range for 2012
The Budget range (Flash) has 12 models and there will be 3 of these that will be new to the UK market in 2012. The Flash range is going away from over-cabs now on reduced demand.
The mid market range (Welcome) see no changes for 2012, so obviously people were happy with these models and the company felt no need to change a winning format. Whats New for Elddis Motorhomes in 2012
Well with 2011 just behind us we take a look at what the UK manufacturer has in store for us in 2012. First off the Elddis Autoquest 100 has been discontinued and a new model, the 165 added to the range which has a rear French-bed layout, there is also a nifty half-dinette up front and a side-sofa.
2012 is a year of big changes right across the board for the Elddis range which has been modernised to improve the look and provides a better looking product, some of their changes include:
new one-piece low-profile pods
new pleasingly asymmetric back windows
wheel arch spats are now more modern and angular.

First up is the New-look Roma home R20 with starting prices from £29,995 OTR, The R20 which was based on the Citroen Dispatch gets a great makeover and a changed layout there is an option of an L-shape lounge for an extra £375.

Motorhomes sales don't seem to be affected by the recession this year.
Good news for the motorhome industry this week, with Marquis Motorhomes a Hampshire based motorhome dealer seeing great sales over $4 million this year after this years Motorhome and Caravan Show at the Birmingham NEC Arena. The Andover Advertiser talked about the success that Marquis have had this year right here, and it just goes to show that even in recession based times the motorhome is still doing well!
Marquis Motorhomes were founded in 1973, which makes them older than me, and have 9 branches throughout the UK. It was only recently that Marquis had a management buy out which saw them become privately owned alongside Auto-Sleepers Ltd and now together they form the Auto-Sleepers Group.

The eleMMent Palazzo is truly a space age concept and the design is just as functional as it is, a statement. The front of the eleMMEnt Palazzo has been designed to lower fuel consumption by incorporating aerodynamic that reduce the fuel usage by up to 20%! An impressive feat and probably one that is entirely necessary given the size of the vehicle.

Auto-Trail have been showing off their 2012 range of motorhomes at all the recent motorhome shows and they have a wide range of motorhome at the upper end of the market. Auto-Trail's motorhomes always look great and this years line up is no different. They have also gone the extra mile on their insulation with the interiors passing a Grade III classification in thermal insulation and heating.
All the vehicles are based on the Fiat Ducato chassis and they have a variety of models and interior layouts as well. Open House London is a yearly event where you get the chance to peek inside 700 buildings in London that are opened to the public for two days only! It's a once a year event that is perfect if you are visiting London or planning a motorhome trip down to London around the time that Open House London is on.
The dates for the show this year are the 17th and 18th of September and while you don't have to book for the majority of the building, some you will have to book for in advance. In addition to opening up the buildings to the public, certain buildings will also be hosted by the architects that designed them, which means if your a fan of architecture or a student, then you might to get to pick the creators brain.
